Once your booking is paid, you’ll receive an email containing the rental agreement and liability waiver that each party member must sign before the day of the rental. This email will have additional info including use of vehicle and return. 

Payment in full is required at the time of booking. If you cancel your reservation 48 hours before your activity it is 100% refundable.  Any Cancellation within 48 Hours is non-refundable.This also includes no-shows.

Any change or cancellation must be made directly with a Private Catz Agent. Cancellations or Changes submitted by email, text or voicemail will not be recognized.

If Private Catz cancels any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, unsafe conditions, or insufficient reservations, a full refund will be provided.

RESCHEDULING YOUR TRIP WITHIN THE 48 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

This is considered a cancellation and you will need to make a new reservation for another trip. (credit may apply if not the day of the original trip)

WEATHER – Private Catz operates in ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. It is extremely rare that we encounter long-lasting weather events that affect the quality or safety of a trip and therefore do not offer refunds for weather, nor do we reschedule trips due to weather.

Please be on time. Arriving late shortens your time on the trail.  If you anticipate being late to your scheduled arrival time, please let us know ASAP. We do our best to accommodate 

If you are renting our machine for Jones Pass then yes. Just make sure you’re at the trailhead on time. If you’re not familiar with the trail head location, refer to our locations page for directions. Or simply google map “Jones Pass Trailhead.”

Absolutely. We encourage you to tip our delivery driver at your discretion.

The rental includes the machine, delivered to you at the designated pickup location.  We will supply a full tank of gas as well as a reserve 2 gallon tank of gas attached to the vehicle for emergency purposes. The machine will come equipped with a six slotted ski and snowboard rack system. Inside the machine, you will find a bitching sound system!

Your deposit is our deductible should damage occur while in your possession. So no. We won’t try and sell you extra insurance you don’t need. 

Gas is on us. Will you make sure the tank is full upon arrival at the trailhead and provide you with a reserve 2 gallon gas canister, securely stationed in the bed of the vehicl

No, Private Catz is an unguided rental service.  If you aren’t proficient in backcountry travel and snow safety then this isn’t for you. This service is for seasoned backcountry travelers that want a break from the skin track to get more runs. We encourage all those interested but not yet educated to get their snow safety and backcountry travel knowledge and then come rent a private cat. 

NO! doing so could result in the machine getting stuck, which will decrease the amount of ski runs you can enjoy. More importantly, you will likely incur A substantial cost associated with the recovery of the vehicle. Last, you run the risk of damaging the machine by taking it off trail, which will as well result in substantial fees associated with the repair of the vehicle.

You must be 21 years old to rent a machine. A 18 year old with a valid driver’s license can operate the machine.

Yes. The deposit is $1000 per machine. A hold in that amount will be placed on the credit card you used for booking the vehicle.

First, DONT GO OFF TRIAL AND YOU WONT GET STUCK! But we get it accidents happen. So, if you’re stuck it’s likely because your high sided. That means one side is higher than the other due to sinking into deep snow off trial. First, get the shovels out of the back and level the sides of the vehicle. Then attempt to back it out of position, using gravity to assist. If you are unable to get out after digging, contact us and we will handle recovery. 

Each scenario is different. If there is a crash, the very first thing you need to do is make sure you and all occupants are safe and in good physical condition. Once you have accomplished that, someone in the party needs to make immediate contact with us. At that point, we will arrange a plan that meets the situation.

In terms of breakdown, our vehicles are new Polaris Side by Sides. We do not run machines with high mileage or for many years before getting new ones. Consequently, the chances of mechanical failure are slim to none. But, things do happen, and we are prepared for that. 

If through no fault of your own, the vehicle breaks down we will refund you on a prorated basis. However, if the vehicle breaks down through no fault of your own in the first hour and we will refund you fully.
